Avalon Dance and Fitness was originally founded in 2010. Current owner Peter Walker took over in October 2014 and has created a thriving dance community here in Belmont.
Avalon which rebranded to Avalon Dance Productions in 2019 offers private ballroom dance lessons for all levels from wedding couples first dance, social dancing and competitive level dancing from amateur to professional.
Located at 173 Belmont St, Belmont it’s accessible by train into Waverley or the 173 bus that goes to and from Harvard. Avalon also has designated parking spaces and ample street parking.

Avalon Spring Showcase
If you're a fan of “Dancing with the Stars” the Avalon Dance Productions fall showcase is a must see experience.

Performed on the beautiful dance floor of the Sanctuary, the show will feature a variety of ballroom styles from the cha-cha and swing to the tango and quickstep. The theme is “Heroes and Villains.”
Avalon will be featuring its own student body and performers from other studios. Among these accomplished dancers are individuals who excel both at local and national levels of competition.

Avalon’s principal, Peter Walker
is certified as a Fellow in International Ballroom, International Latin, American Ballroom, American Rhythm and Theater Arts with the United States Terpsichore Association (USTA) and is also a Championship Adjudicator.

He is currently teaching Pro-Am students, coaching Amateur and Professional couples, and judging competitions across the US.

Marianne Nicole :
US Hall of Famer Marianne's titles include: United States Hall of Famer, United States Rising Star American Style Champion, Undefeated United States Theater Arts Champion, Undefeated Fred Astaire Theatrical Champion, Undefeated Fred Astaire International Latin Champion, World Latin Representative. She is a World Class Adjudicator & Coach, and Co Organizer of the Capitol Dancesport Championships.
Marianne Nicole will be coaching on Friday March 29th
Charlotte Jorgensen:
Charlotte is a former World, British Open, and European Professional Standard Finalist as well as a World Amateur and Blackpool Professional Rising Star Champion who, during her competitive career, was widely considered to be the best female Standard dancer in the world. In addition, she was winner of Dancing With The Stars with John O’Hurley
